Building Caliburn

Obtain the Code

  1. If you do not already have TortoiseSVN installed, you can download it here: http://tortoisesvn.net/downloads
  2. Open Windows Explorer
  3. Create a new folder where you want to download the source code of Caliburn
  4. Right click on the new folder and select "SVN Checkout..."
  5. In the "URL of repository" field enter https://caliburn.svn.codeplex.com/svn
  6. Click OK on the SVN Checkout screen to start downloading the source code files for the project.
  7. To keep your code up to date with the latest trunk in the future, right click the folder and select "SVN Update"

Build the Code

  1. Navigate to the folder where you downloaded the source code
  2. Locate the file named "build.cmd"
  3. Double-click this file to run the build command.
  4. After building, two folders will be added, a "bin" and "dist"
  5. Inside "bin" you will find subfolders containing debug versions of Caliburn built for .NET 3.5 and Silverlight
  6. You can edit "Caliburn.build" in your root folder to configure the build for release or a number of other options. See http://nant.sourceforge.net/ for help.
