The WPF KeyGesture class validates the presence of a modifier key on gestures that are for alpha-numeric keys, which makes it very difficult to create a mouseless application in WPF (and thus Caliburn).

I've looked into the WPF source and found that there's no obvious reason why this limitation is imposed, and duplicating the internal classes in the Caliburn source with the validation removed doesn't cause any issues that I've encountered. YMMV, but all tests are passing and my own application seems quite happy.

I'm often uncomfortable with this kind of duplication, especially as there are two ancillary classes that needed to be modified to refer to the new KeyGesture (because KeyGesture itself isn't in any shape to be inherited from); however, there doesn't seem to be any side effects, and I can't see this changing frequently.

Removed the "Execute" methods from PresenterBase. Created a set of extension methods that work for IResult and IEnumerable<IResult>. They are hosted on the EnumerableResults static class. There are ExecuteEnumerableResultCore and ExecuteResultCore methods for overriding execution behavior for unit tests.

Started work on v2. Use at your own risk! First set of breaking changes. Complete reworking of component registration. We now support instance registration. Updated all container adapters. Renamed IConfigurator to IRegistry. Removed ComponentInfo. Added IComponentRegistration and descendant classes for various registration types. Created Caliburn.Core.IoC namespace. Moved several types around.

I wrote some tests for this, too: please let me know if you see some other important test case to add.
